Going gas-to-induction needs the right 240V circuit. We size it to your range, install the receptacle, and pull the permit.
Induction is the piece of kitchen electrification people fall in love with — faster than gas, precise, and with no combustion in the house. The catch in an older Santa Cruz County home is upstream of the range: a kitchen that's been gas for decades usually has no 240V circuit where the range sits.
Most induction ranges want a 40A or 50A dedicated 240V circuit ending in a NEMA 14-50 or 14-30 receptacle — the exact requirement is on the range's nameplate, and we size to that, not to a guess. The run from your panel to the kitchen is usually the bulk of the work, and the panel itself has to have the headroom to take the new load.
We do the electrical end to end: panel-capacity check, circuit, receptacle, permit, AHJ inspection. The old gas line gets capped and sealed by a plumber — that's C-36 scope, and we'll coordinate the handoff if you don't have one. If the panel math says your service is already full, we tell you at the quote, with the panel upgrade priced as its own line — never discovered mid-project.
