Storm-damage main service upgrade
Thank you to the Sunrise Electrical Contracting team for updating the new main electrical system on my mom's home after the storm damaged the power lines and home equipment this winter… They replaced Main Service Upgrade Overhead, and added a Sub-Panel Install/Replacement Outdoors… the team of Branden, Jimmy, Ian, and Tylor worked long hours during the storm for a few days to get us up and running again before the next storm arrived.

Level 2 EV charger + 240V outlet
Branden & his experienced crew installed a Level 2 electric charger together with an extra 240v outlet in our Live Oak garage. They were informed, congenial, & professional and their work was timely and permitted as required by the County. (The cost of the County permit was 53% of the entire project cost — no 5 stars for the County.) I highly recommend Sunrise Electrical!

Knob-and-tube rewire, whole house
Sunrise Electrical rewired our house, replacing the old knob-and-tube wiring with seamless, safe, and up-to-code wiring at a very reasonable price. They were incredibly efficient, worked cleanly, and addressed all our questions and concerns with care. We can't recommend them highly enough!

05·The visit, every time

What to expect when we arrive. Every visit, every time.

This is the part of the job most electricians don't think about. We did. Then we wrote it down so every tech we hire follows the same four beats.

01

Your tech texts on the way

About 15 minutes out, with a real ETA — not "between 8 and 12." Their photo, name, and years on the team in the same text.

02

They arrive in a marked Sunrise truck

Inside the arrival window we gave you. If we are running late, we tell you — by text, not silence.

03

They walk the work with you

Before anything gets opened up: what we are doing, what we expect to find, where the breakers will be off, how long it will take.

04

They clean up and walk it again

After the work: what got installed, where the new circuits are labeled, what we'd do next, and the 20-year warranty registered to your address.

This is how every visit goes, every time.Branden, owner
06·Electrification

We wire the all-electric Santa Cruz home — from your panel out.

EV charger, induction stove, heat pump, water heater, dryer, solar, battery — one contractor for the whole transition. Many homes need a panel upgrade first; we handle that too.

  • California and utility rebates can offset parts of an all-electric upgrade — the federal credits ended in 2025, and we'll tell you what you actually qualify for during the inspection.

08·Flagship offer

Not sure what you need? Get a free whole-home inspection.

Yes, really free. ~2 hours on site, a written report we go through with you before we leave, no obligation, anywhere in Santa Cruz County. Plenty of these end with no work scheduled. That's fine.

We've found that doing a thorough, honest inspection first — and just telling you what's actually going on with your home — is a better way to do business than trying to upsell you when you call about something else.

10·Why Sunrise
~ Branden H.
Owner · CSLB #C10-1097237

We plan to be here for 20 years. So we guarantee the work for 20.

It covers our installation work — the quality of how it was done — for 20 years from the day we finish, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell. We put it in writing because we plan to be the electrician your house calls when it needs the next thing.

20-year workmanship guarantee

The best one in Santa Cruz County that we've found — happy to be shown otherwise. If anything we install or wire fails because of how we did the work, we come back and fix it. For 20 years.
