What we do and don't do
We do NOT sell your personal information for money. We never have.
We do “share” some information with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. Specifically, we use Google Ads conversion tracking so we can measure which marketing campaigns drive calls and bookings. Under California's broad definition of “sharing,” this counts.
If we ever begin advertising on additional platforms (Meta/Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), we will update this page and the cookie inventory at /cookies before that happens. They are not active now.
How to opt out
You have three ways to opt out. Any one of them works.
- Cookie Settings panel. Click “Cookie Settings” in the footer of any page. Toggle “Marketing” off. Your choice persists for a year.
- One-click opt out. The “Opt Out Now” button at the top of this page records your choice in your browser; you don't have to enter anything.
- Browser signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal or a Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we treat it as an automatic opt-out — no banner, no manual step. Brave, Firefox, and some Chrome extensions send GPC by default.
After opting out, we will no longer share your personal information with advertising platforms for behavioral advertising. Essential analytics and service-delivery information sharing will continue (we cannot operate without it).
Additional California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you also have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Request a copy of your personal information (portability)
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., we must retain records of completed jobs for warranty + tax purposes)
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Limit our use of sensitive personal information
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
