What's in this number
Each appliance converts its yearly gas use to the electricity an equivalent heat-pump or induction appliance would draw, using 29.3 kWh per therm, an 80% efficiency factor for the gas unit it replaces, and the coefficient of performance shown for the replacement. Savings compare what you spend on gas today against what that electricity costs at your rate. The federal Section 25C credit that used to help with heat pump and supporting panel costs ended for work placed in service after December 31, 2025, so no federal credit is applied here. This tool shows annual energy savings only — install costs come from a real consultation.
